After your travel via air, sea, rail or water, our representative will meet you and transfer you to Safari Beach Hotel- a delightful place to wander. The Hotel has something for everyone, making it uniquely unforgettable. Relax, unwind and fall in love with all that the hotel has to offer.
After breakfast, get ready for the Big S; Sea, Sun and Sand. Dress in your water friendly attire and set out to enjoy the water, the sand and the sun. Explore the hidden treasures of the Indian Ocean either on a dhow, a ngalawa; a local canoe or a boat. The boats have a glass bottom, giving you a live show of the underwater flora and fauna as you head towards the reef. Enjoy a swim along the shallow shoreline or delve into the slightly deeper water and top it off with a long stroll along the palm fringed beach line accompanied by a refreshing sea breeze. Quench your thirst with a sip of the famous madafu (coconut water) drink.
After lunch, don your safari hat, khaki shorts and pick your camera. Go blend in with the wildlife at the coastal wildlife haven; Bora Bora Wildlife Sanctuary. This quiet sanctuary is ideal for nature walks, photography, and sampling the unspoiled beauty of Kenya's coastal wilderness. — A thrill for nature lovers. Share the paths with free roaming zebra and warthog families, feed the birds, crocodiles and other animals in this beautifully crafted sanctuary. Enjoy traditional coastal songs from the traditional dancers as you come to the end of your tour at the sanctuary.
Travel back to Safari Beach Hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, visit a primates’ safe home. Travel by local tuk tuk to the Colobus sanctuary and up close with the elegant black-and-white Colobus monkey, an endangered primate found in the equatorial forests. The swing-loving acrobats of Kenya’s forests are rehabilitated here once rescued as babies. The Colobus Trust is also a learning center for other projects around conservation in and around Diani.
In the afternoon, travel to Gazi Women Mangrove Boardwalk, a mangrove forested town. Wear water friendly attire as it might get wet as you venture deep into mangrove conservation and beach studies. This is female-led eco-tourism at its best. You’ll walk on a raised boardwalk through breathing mangrove forests — the guardians of the coastline — and learn how local women are saving the planet one tree at a time. Each step you will make is a step in conservation. As you walk on the boardwalk, you will be walking a journey of conservation. The women’s group is involved in mangrove restoration, nursing and re-planting.
Travel back to Safari Beach Hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, get ready to experience high adrenaline and fun filled sporting sessions at the Village Retreat Center. Soar through the trees or perfect your aim with a bow. Talk a walk along the winding River Kongo. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the villages beneath and the sea shimmering on the horizon as you enjoy the thrill of the zip line.
After lunch, get ready to visit Mombasa’s Old Town. Ancient mosques, crumbling coral walls, and centuries-old trade routes come alive as you roam Old Town. The scent of spices hangs in the air, blending with street-side food bites and the echoes of call-to-prayer.
After your visit to Mombasa’s Old Town, we will make sure you are in time for your journey back home or to the next destination. We will drop you at your travel port of departure.
